Everything you need to know about our beginner HIIT Pilates classes.
What is HIIT Pilates?
HIIT Pilates combines the calorie-burning intensity of High-Intensity Interval Training with the core strength, alignment, and controlled movement of Pilates. It’s one complete workout — not two separate routines back to back. You get your heart rate up while training your body to move with intention and control.
I’ve never done Pilates or HIIT before. Is this class right for me?
Absolutely. This class was built specifically for beginners. Every exercise includes modifications so you can work at your own pace. Whether you haven’t exercised in years or you’re trying something new, you’ll feel welcome from day one.
When are classes held?
Every Saturday morning at 10:00 AM ET. Each session lasts about one hour, including a warm-up and cool-down.
How do I join the class?
Classes are held live on Zoom. After you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your Zoom link. Just click the link on Saturday morning and you’re in. Do I need to turn my camera on?
Nope. Camera is always optional. Many of our members work out with their camera off. Do whatever makes you comfortable.
What equipment do I need?
Just a mat and some space. All exercises are bodyweight-based. Light hand weights are optional if you have them, but they’re not required. Your living room is the only gym you need.
Is the first class really free?
Yes, 100%. When you get to the checkout page, click the “+” next to “Package, gift, or coupon code” and enter the code FIRSTFREE. Your total will change to $0.00. No credit card charge, no strings attached.
How much does it cost after the free class?
A single class is CA$15.00. We also offer a 5-Class Pack for CA$65.00 (save $10) and a 10-Class Pack for CA$120.00 (save $30). Packs are a great option if you plan to attend regularly.
I’m not very tech-savvy. Can I still join?
Of course! We have a step-by-step How to Book a Class guide with screenshots that walks you through the entire process. And if you get stuck at any point, just email shane@beginhiitpilates.com and we’ll help you out personally.
I have a health condition or injury. Can I still participate?
We always recommend checking with your doctor before starting any new exercise program. That said, every exercise in our class comes with modifications, and you’re always encouraged to go at your own pace. Let Shane know about any concerns before class and he’ll make sure the movements work for you.
What if I can’t keep up?
That’s completely normal and totally fine. This is a zero-judgement class. Take breaks when you need them, use the modifications, and go at your own speed. You’ll be surprised how quickly your fitness improves week over week.
Can I cancel or reschedule a class?
Yes. You can cancel or reschedule through the link in your confirmation email. Life happens — just rebook when you’re ready.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, a standard fitness liability waiver is part of the booking process. You’ll review and accept it when you enter your information — it only takes a moment.
